Programme Planner
Responsibilities
Co-ordinate the weekly Programme Steering Team and drive the team in the use of Programme Central to manage the completion of deliverables for programme milestone approvals. Drive team progress and compatibility using Programme Central reporting metrics at PST.
Manage and author product letters (PDLs) in the PDL system for designated projects, manage responses, including electronic Programme Approval Sheet (ePAS) responses and resolve issues leading to PDL approval. Maintain & communicate accurate programme assumptions between issues of the PDL.
Lead the programme team in CMM meetings, monitoring and reporting the status of S, T and P releases at key stages of PCS programmes.
Support prototype build planning and lead the BoM validation of prototype and pre-production builds in conjunction with Engineering and Manufacturing team members.
Co-ordinate the PACN (Product Change) meeting and support the wider team progressing PACN changes.
Prepare papers / presentations for various senior management reviews, including Gateway & Cycle Plan reviews.
Support Lead Engineers with training and contacts in the preparation of key gateways and support the roll-out of improvement initiatives
Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Proficient communication and influencing skills
Strong understanding of project management principles
Experience of metric and reporting delivery to support programme delivery
Experience of working in a manufacturing or automotive environment
Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
Desirable:
Demonstrable experience of process improvement and working in a project support role
A good working knowledge of Change Control, Product Definition and Change Management processes are desirable, in order to support the review and approval of feasible product actions, and so ensure robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems through to production.
