Field Reliability Engineer, Low Voltage

Monitor field performance of products and identify opportunities for improvements

Contribute to ongoing efforts for continuous improvement at Tesla, actively driving activities towards enhancing vehicle reliability, contributing to the continual optimization of Tesla’s products and processes

Execute field investigation:

Data analysis to identify trends and support prioritization of investigations

Perform vehicle and component level debug and failure analysis

Identify root-cause of problems using 1st principles and 5why methodology

Coordinate and dispatch field failure investigations

Drive containment and corrective action implementation

Communicate field performance of the engineering system, gather buy-in from engineering peers and leadership on improvement priorities and urgency

Qualification:

0-5+ years of hands-on experience in failure analysis, reliability, systems architecture, or related electro-mechanical systems, with a demonstrated problem-solving ability (For out of school candidates, Co-ops, or participation in student competitions such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE; Solar vehicle. Strong project that demonstrates problem solving skills, also accepted)

A background in electronics or automotive (with an electrical engineering focus) is preferred, or an equivalent qualification

Hands-on experience in debugging and testing electrical systems in the automotive or a comparable industry, including wire harnesses, components, ECUs, and/or embedded systems

Broad technical background, with previous experience in problem solving and failure analysis on multiple (Proficient in PCBA level troubleshooting and debugging)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

Programming Languages & Tools: Python, UNIX

Demonstrated success in applying statistical methods in data analysis

Manufacturing Process Development Engineer, Energy Products

Job Description:

Design and develop cutting-edge manufacturing processes that enable high-volume production of products with improved quality, reduced costs, and increased efficiency

Deploy manufacturing processes and equipment to high-volume production, through rigorous tool qualification, process documentation, and training

Ramp processes to meet high-volume production targets including cycle time, availability, yield, quality, and reliability, and driving a culture of continuous improvement

Apply a range of manufacturing techniques, including fastening, welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, and other joining methods, and quality assurance methods such as vision inspection, leak testing, and electrical testing, to ensure products excellence

Qualification:

Systems Integration Engineer, Body Controls

Job Description:

Distill vehicle product requirements into actionable software requirements

Lead software architecture design of body controls products and features and define system hardware and software interfaces

Bring-up and debug early software and hardware prototypes through characterizing the systems and ensuring systems perform to requirements

Support validation teams in developing component and system level test plans to meet product requirements

Understand and debug hardware and software interactions during design, launch, and deployment of products or features

Perform field data analytics to improve design and performance of the system

Analyze changes to assess impact to systems by summarizing impacted devices, interfaces and process in the hardware and software domain

Perform DFMEA and HARA for body controls systems

Qualification:

Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience

Comfortable with Electrical Engineering fundamentals, experience in Mechatronics is a plus

Excellent at hands-on debugging complex subsystems involving network microprocessors and software-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices

Internship, Collision Technician Trainee (Summer 2024)

In the Collision Technician Trainee Internship role, you will be a part of the team that is repairing the most advanced vehicles on the planet! In addition to being a team player, we are looking for a problem solver with good oral and written communication as you may be interacting with customers.

As required maintain inventory, records of time, shop supplies and parts

Support Front and Back of House operations as needed or on a rotational basis

Qualification:

Knowledge of collision repair methods and techniques to repair vehicles

Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license

Must be capable of reporting to local collision repair center

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

Be able to work in a team-based environment and have a “safety first” attitude

Familiar understanding of the English language

DMV Operations Specialist

Job Description:

Coordinates with Sales and Delivery Specialists to ensure that all required documents pertaining to the transaction are complete and accurate

Processes DMV registrations related to sales, as well as for Tesla-owned vehicles

Records information and ensures data quality in multiple record keeping systems including but not limited to Tesla internal systems and state vendor portals

Serves as an authority on vehicle tax and registration rules by geography, keeping abreast of changes as they are announced and communicating them to the team in a timely manner

Participates in testing of new and updated forms and processes

Assists with special projects as needed

Supports other locations and teams on end of quarter delivery pushes as needed

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

DMV experience preferred but not required
