Jaguar Land Rover North America’s internship program is a great opportunity for college students entering their junior or senior year, or who are currently in a graduate school program, to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of the automotive industry! This is a great opportunity for personal growth and development from a business and learning perspective.
In this internship, you will work within the System and SW Integration team within the Assisted and Automated Driving Domain to support our product squads in integrating and smoke testing the very latest embedded Software Releases. The Santa Clara team works side by side with JLR’s AAD Technology Partner delivering state of the art Driver Assistance Systems, in the heart of Silicon Valley you will have the ability to work on Prototype Engineering Assets, as over the course of your internship more and more capability is unlocked and embedded into the vehicles.

The program is open to students at a Junior or Senior level in their Bachelor’s Degree program or a Graduate Program
The Internship runs from June 16, 2025 to August 2025
40 hours per week during business hours (Business Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm)
Job Requirement:
To utilize hands on experience in updating SW and HW for physical prototype vehicles, gaining knowledge and access to industry leading techniques into vehicle updates.
To support and lead triage of issues for embedded automotive system issues, using project management tools such as JIRA to create, track and close SW and HW related vehicle issues.
Gain knowledge to cutting edge vehicle architectures, being able to debug and resolve vehicle and system issue.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and cross global teams to provide an AAD integration solution across sites. Author engineering artifacts and keep issue logs up to date as to allow other team members to gain an insight to progress or set backs made.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in progress or pursuing a graduate studies degree during Fall 2025 School Year
Proficiency in embedded SW development in C or C++
Hands-on experience with Git
Fundamental electrical and electronic understanding, how to use a multimeter, how to measure current and fault find hardware related issues on an embedded system.
A passion for problem solving and the curiosity to understand business challenges and deliver innovative solutions, backed by strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to champion new initiatives
Excellent collaboration, observational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills alongside the desire and ability to see things from multiple perspectives
Hands on practical experience with basic mechanical tools, the ability to solder, user a screw driver, wire stripping etc

Mobile Development Intern – iOS
In this internship, you will work within our Mobile Apps Squad, building the next generation of device to vehicle communication and control. Our Portland team focuses on digital products, specializing in complex user experiences with cutting-edge technologies like autonomous driving, augmented reality, and off-board solutions. You’ll gain exposure to UX Design & Research, DevOps, DesignOps, Systems Engineering, and Agile Delivery Management in a constantly evolving and complex design environment.

The Internship runs from June 16,2025 to June 11, 2026;
25-29 hours per week during business hours (Business Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm)

Job Description:
Contribute to development, implementation, and maintenance of iOS Applications using Swift, DevOps tools, and processes while coordinating with peers across JLR’s global development sites
Work closely with Product and Project management teams, designers, and other development teams when implementing mobile apps
Contribute to documentation in code comments, wikis, written reports, to describe functional code and project findings
Provide technical input to the ideation, discovery, and scoping processes in creating and grooming our pipeline of projects
Support communication with internal and external stakeholders and technical experts to support project execution
Other duties as assigned
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in progress or pursuing a graduate studies degree during FY 25/26
Experience in iOS
Swift experience required
Swift UI and Redux experience beneficial
Understanding of app architectures such as MVP or MVVM and the use of Swift Package Manager
Experience with HTTP, RESTful APIs and socket communication beneficial
Git, CI/CD and Agile work environment beneficial
Experience building and maintaining CI tools is beneficial
You must be resourceful, conscientious, and self-motivated
