Operations Analyst | Toronto, Canada

Responsibilities
Monitor, address and respond to inquiries received by email, phone or fax
Print & review various reports of outstanding Foreign Exchange contracts
Settle and mature all outstanding contracts
Release of settlement wires for Global Bulk clients
Preparation of General Ledger entries (input & verify)
Print end of day reports to ensure all payments released
Support distribution of messages into department
Archiving and controlling of department records
Other administrative duties as assigned
Flexibility with hours of work is required (may be required to work Statutory holidays, as needed)

Qualifications
Client servicing experience preferred but not required
Working knowledge of AS400/GBS and On Line Support applications is an asset
Understanding in handling of Foreign Exchange is an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of the Banks’ Treasury products is an asset
Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
Ability to meet established deadlines in a fast paced environment
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
Post-secondary education preferred but not required
Experience in financial services preferred but not required
Strives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions
Excels in working among diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forward
Experience in connecting with a diverse set of clients to understand future business needs – is a continuous learner
