Engineering Intern
DESCRIPTION
Assist Engineering staff in new product development and product support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
New product design and development – Assist the engineering department in the development of new products. Produce sketches and layouts to formulate design concepts. Create and evaluate prototypes.
Competitive product evaluations – Research competitive products, evaluate, test, and document findings. Review market analysis and trends to drive product solutions.
Engineering support – Evaluate engineering change requests, prepare change orders, learn department procedures. Function as part of a global team, collaborating with different departments as part of a project team.
Project Engineering – Assist engineering in project execution to prepare and develop skills required for full time staff. Support the development of schedules, costs, and engineering documents.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree proegram in either mechanical or electrical engineering. Must have completed the equivalent of 3 years of coursework.
