Posted by India’s top #IT services providers – TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCL Technologies – increased #hiring in the quarter-ended-September, adding over 17,000 employees, Economic Times reports. TCS recruited 9,864 people, “in anticipation of the growth trajectory” ahead, the company’s HR head said. Infosys added 975 people – significantly lower than hiring in the same period last year, while HCL and Wipro added 2,798 and 3,439 employees respectively.
This is an uptick from the first quarter, when the four companies reported a net reduction of over 9,000 workers.
Overall number in the first half of this year, though, remained much lower than in 2019. With demand for services increasing, TCS is also likely to recruit 10,000 people in the US by 2022.
