We personally a strong fan of companies including certain courses relevant to the organization as a part of the curriculum as it
1. Helps companies test the student’s ability further on the fit for the role they intend to hire – On-Job-Training ready talent pool
2. Creates an brand awareness in the college about how much the recruiter values the students hired from the institution – Employee Branding
3. Due to point 2, it mostly gets priority access to cream talent pool from the institute which is genrally coupled with higher pay and intake – Improves bench strength and talent pool of the organization
4. If this improves retention by 5%, it stands a potential to create a much larger alumni base from the institute, helpful for future hiring – Alums are the biggest & best marketers of an organization
Multiple Indian B-Schools (mostly private) are long-term subscribers of such a model which has been a win-win for both the institute (as they have been able to scale up batch size) and organization (in retentions)
