We are looking for an innovative, collaborative, and highly motivated research intern to join our efforts in machine learning for healthcare data, where we are developing state-of-the-art deep learning and natural language processing technology to build ambient intelligence for the clinic. Both supervised and unsupervised methods will be used to analyze, summarize, enhance, and interpret large collections of doctor-patient interactions and produce research outputs that can improve the doctor-patient experience

Research Intern – Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team of top-notch scientists, engineers, and healthcare researchers to:
• Analyze real-world data to explore opportunities for modeling healthcare data
• Design and implement state-of-the-art ML and NLP systems
• Conduct rapid experimentation and deep engagement for real-world delivery and impact
• Propose novel approaches for unsolved research problems

• Strong verbal and writing communication skills
• Track record of publications in top ML or NLP venues
• Experience with recent NLP & deep learning advancements, e.g., BERT, transformers, attention, LSTMs, sequence to sequence, etc.
