Production Associate (Part Time)
Job Description:
As a part-time Production Associate, you will be trained on how to help build the most exciting, environmentally friendly vehicles on the planet. If you have a strong work ethic, are reliable and value teamwork in a fast-paced and safety-focused environment we want to hear from you! No prior manufacturing experience is required.
Punctuality and a professional, can-do attitude are a must
Perform complex assembly work. Tasks require the use of state of art manufacturing tools, precision measuring equipment, and machinery
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions for specialized equipment
Complete standard work process and follow trained procedures
Operate complex manufacturing equipment under supervision
Escalate technical problems to the appropriate support groups and leaders
Follow safety guidelines & procedures
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Evaluates the assembly processes and equipment to look for continuous improvement opportunities
Complete other duties as assigned/support cross-functional teams
Qualification:

Materials Engineer
Job Description:
Tesla is looking for a materials engineer to perform failure analysis for a manufacturing lab within Gigafactory Reno. This role will develop, optimize, and perform analysis procedures with a multidisciplinary lab team responsible for the ongoing support of Tesla Vehicle, battery pack and drive unit and Tesla Energy, Powerwall and Megapack products. The candidate will work closely with Tesla’s Design, Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams to coordinate cross-functional activities that improve yield and product quality
Job Responsibilities:
Development of new and innovative routine and non-routine test procedures for Drive Unit and Battery Module materials
Rapid response on projects and routine quality testing supporting a 24×7 manufacturing environment
Contribute to failure analysis investigations, determine the best analytical course of action, and achieve accurate results, while communicating with various stakeholders across multiple groups
Validate design changes and new materials
Author/manage updates to testing procedures
Support lab technicians executing testing following established procedures through training and technical assistance
Qualification:
BS degree in engineering, materials, mechanical, chemistry, relevant experience, or equivalent
Electron Microscopy SEM + EDS
Mechanical Testing – Hardness testing and Stress Strain testing
XRAY Analysis – XRF and CT
Metallography – Polishing, Grinding, Etching, Cross-Section Analysis
Experience with digital microscopes. (Example: Keyence VHX, VR, and VKX)
Thermal Analysis – DSC, TGA, DMA
Material Analysis by Spark OES or ICP-OES
Statistics – Interpretation and presentation of experimental data
Matlab, Python or similar desired

Manufacturing Development Program – Operations & Business Support
As an apprentice of the Manufacturing Development Program (MDP), you will be trained on how to build the batteries and drive units that power the most exciting, environmentally friendly vehicles on the planet, while expanding your knowledge in the growing field of Advanced Manufacturing. Program associates will complete a rigorous 4–6-week scholarship in Advanced Manufacturing, apply skills as a Production Associate at Gigafactory Nevada following course completion, and earn a Production Operator Certification after 2000 hours of on the job learning.

Product Support Engineering Intern – Engineering & Information Technology
Tesla is seeking an intern to work directly for the Service Engineering Team. This intern must be passionate about the product, a strong critical thinker, and capable of understanding technical system-level architecture and issues.
Service Engineering, part of Vehicle Software Engineering, is responsible for real-time diagnostic support for the service network (the field), development and improvement of diagnostic tools and procedures, and feedback of top field issues to our development teams to improve current and future products.
Qualification:
Studying a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, ect
Good understanding of electric systems such as sensors, actuators, control units and communication networks such as CAN bus
Experience with EV drivetrain technologies
Experience with data acquisition and analysis and processing tools, including one or more programming or scripting languages
Experience in reading C and phyton language – basic C and python programming
Knowledge of digital communication and protocols using CAN and Ethernet, and SAE J2411
