AECOM is actively seeking an Archaeologist Intern for employment in the Portland, OR office. The successful candidate will join the Cultural Resources team in Portland as an intern to assist with archaeological projects and tasks.

Job Description:
Performs routine fieldwork as a trainee (such as excavation of shovel probes, test units, and features, as well as mapping, site documentation, survey, and monitoring), working under close supervision.
Performs routine tasks in support of project staff and handles less complex duties. May assist with archival research, preparation of site forms and/or technical reports, and artifact analysis.
Minimum Requirements
Must be currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
Current valid driver’s license and U.S. government issued identification required.
Field projects may be located anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, and travel will be required.
The candidate must be prepared for field, lab, and office tasks, including basic data analysis and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Must have completed an accredited archaeological field school.
Relevant field experience, including archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring, in the Pacific Northwest.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Global Positioning System (GPS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.
Works well in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
