Entry-Level Inspector – United States
Job Responsibilities:
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works under immediate supervision.
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Tracks quality assurance progress.
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
Qualifications:
High school graduate.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Transportation-related construction experience.
NICET I certification or the ability to become NICET 1 certified.
Highway & bridge related experience.
Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and overnights.

Graduate Construction Project Engineer – USA
Job Description:
Assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility.
Receives continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility.
Receives technical and operational direction from the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager.
Assists with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility.
Monitor’s subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promotes quality control of all installations.
Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Field Management.
Assists with compliance of the AECOM Hunt safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment on the jobsite.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree majoring in construction management, building technology, civil engineering or similar major.
Preferred:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Prior Internship experience within the construction industry.
Experience working on a live construction site.
Able to follow directions and interact with all levels of management on a working construction project.
Experience engaging with multiple trades on a construction project.
Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. Construction Management Project Officer
Job Responsibilities:
Provide the administration and coordination of activities for the design and construction of the more complex and/or highly visible construction and modernization projects under the guidance of a senior-level SCA Project Officer.
Ensure the quality and high standards of performance and compliance in both design and construction by all consultants, vendors, etc.
Make decisions and take action in a timely manner to expedite the timely completion of the construction process.
Correct mistakes and errors in design and construction before they can be extensively incorporated into the project or as early in the construction process as possible.
Responsibilities are varied and include coordinative problem-solving and managerial functions of these projects.
Make decisions on phasing and scheduling of projects. Prepare and/or ensure the preparation of schedules for planning, design, and construction. Monitor schedules and take appropriate actions to ensure that the project is completed on schedule and within the approved cost limitations.
Provide ongoing interface with contractors, construction managers, local school personnel, and Senior Project Officers on project issues; routinely interact with SCA senior managers on such matters.
Participate in the development and issuance of project procedures and policies; review and make recommendations on SCA-wide procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in a related field + 2 years relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred:
Baccalaureate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible work as a technical specialist in one or more construction and design-related fields; two (2) years must involve managing all phases of construction work on a scale and scope similar to the SCA.
