EMEA Insights Analyst – 15 months maternity cover – United Kingdom
Job Description:
You will become a member of the Sales Finance team at Apple. With approximately 130 employees based across 5 locational hubs within EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa), we bring value, collaborating with many teams to provide outstanding commercial and financial support. We set the bar high; go out of our way to help others; share knowledge; filter out noise to focus on the essential; encourage the very best from ourselves and the team; and drive the right course of action. To do all of this you will be an excellent communicator, collaborator and innovator, with a passion for debate and inclusion.
As an Insights Analyst you will identify and develop new financial insights & analytics to support commercial business analysis and decision making. This will require a combination of building collaborations with partners across Apple, a deep understanding of the business and the ability to articulate insights clearly and concisely.
You will be responsible for supporting post-mortem analysis for investment activities (including Demand Generation). This includes – but is not limited to – leveraging consumer offer data, understanding the impact of price elasticities on end user demand, impact of affordability initiatives in the prevailing economic conditions, and building a statistically sound methodology for assessing return on investment. Additionally you will contribute to ad hoc requests, often with short notice and/or ambiguous guidance to drive senior leadership projects and meetings.
Qualifications:
Degree and/or MBA preferred.
Highly analytical, with the ability to articulate quantitative and qualitative data as meaningful, productive insights, and offer recommendations to the business
Accomplished presentation skills, being able to tell your story in a structured way
Comfortable working with complex, unstructured data sets to visualise findings
Highly numerate, ideally with knowledge of statistics and hypothesis testing methods
Experience working with SQL and/or Python is an advantage
