Settings & Core Apps Integration Engineer
Job Description:
The Settings & Core Apps team is looking for an Integration Engineer to help us deliver the next generation of iOS and macOS user experiences to our customers. We are a fast-paced team, always working on the next big thing, all the while maintaining high quality and attention to detail. In this role, you will be an integral part of the development team, ensuring that we stay true to our goals.
1-3 years of experience in iOS and/or macOS software development (Objective-C or Swift)
Experience with scripting languages, e.g. Python, Ruby, JavaScript
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
In-depth understanding of source code version-control systems (e.g. Git)
Consistent track record of being dedicated, self-motivated and well organized
The Settings & Core Apps team is responsible for several integral iOS and macOS applications that are the hub of many new features in every new OS release. Our applications include iOS Settings, macOS System Preferences, and iOS Clock, among others. In addition, we deliver frameworks that support multi-functional development across all of Apple’s platforms. You will join a hands-on development team that fosters creativity and generates novel solutions to deliver engineering excellence. We partner with a variety of cross and multi-functional team members from a diverse array of groups across the company.

The primary responsibilities of the Integration Engineer are:
Work with multi-functional engineering and QA teams to review and integrate changes to our applications and related frameworks.
Help team screening and prioritizing incoming bug reports.
Strong organizational and time management skills are needed to cope with the number of incoming bugs. General knowledge of iOS is necessary to understand potential root causes of incoming bugs and to be able to assign them to the appropriate engineer or team. Excellent communication skills are critical to effectively interact with multi-functional engineering and QA teams.
