Open Source Technical Watch Engineer – Europe
As an Open Source Technical Watch Engineer, you will be responsible for two main missions:
Mission 1 – Writing of strategic and technical watch briefs
For the needs of our customers, we carry out dissertations (watch). The objective is to estimate the conditions for implementing open source solutions in a client’s information system.
Qualification and validation meeting to understand the client’s needs and issues;
Analysis of the state of the art in the field in the world of Open Source and identification of Open Source software solutions;
Analyzes of these different solutions according to the QSOS methodology (drafting of a report and an analysis grid);
Drafting of the watch report;
Presentation of the dissertation results to the client during an oral defense.
The subjects are varied and affect all areas of computing. These monitoring studies can follow up on the realization of POC (Proof of Concept) which can lead to the implementation of the alternative Open Source solution identified within the framework of the monitoring report.
Mission 2 – Open Source News Tracking
For our customers, we produce a monthly summary of Open Source news in the form of presentations and webinars.
Daily monitoring and curation via various channels (RSS, social networks, etc.)
Participation in Open Source events (meet-ups, fairs etc.) to follow the conferences and make a report / synthesis internally and to our customers
Animation of the Open Source ATOS community by sharing this watch
Preparation of presentation materials for clients
Presentation and facilitation of webinars to clients
Capitalization of relevant information in our knowledge base
Expected for this position:
Engineer, scientist or self-taught profile
Very good writing skills confirmed in particular by a blog-type experience, press article, scientific article, dissertations
Good ability to synthesize
A strong taste for reading
Rigor, organization, curiosity
Would be a plus
