The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer – Architecture, Requirements, and Verification (Level 2) to support our Space & Launch programs in El Segundo, CA. As an End to End or Satellite Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver state-of-the-art satellite systems for space-based applications for commercial, civil, and/or Milsatcom programs. You will lead a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems.
Associate Systems Engineer – Architecture, Requirements, and Verification
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and verify/validate advanced system or spacecraft architectures, designs, interfaces, and operations.
Assure compatibility of physical, functional and program interfaces and perform analyses to optimize and validate the total system of systems and/or spacecraft.
Develop requirements of a system of systems, flow those requirements to space and ground elements, manage the end-to-end design and interfaces of those elements, support the integration of those elements, and perform validation and verification to demonstrate that all requirements have been met.
Develop requirements for the spacecraft, flow those requirements to subsystems and units, manage the maturation of the design, support the integration of the spacecraft, and perform validation and verification to demonstrate that all requirements have been met.
Support the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of the requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, verification plans, and technology readiness assessment processes.
Resolve cross-functional technical issues and manage change control.
Support ConOps development, functional analysis, decomposition, and generate operational products.
Interface with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and senior technologists.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience within the aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
Typical Education / Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor’s with 2 or more years’ experience, Master’s degree with experience or PhD. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
