Data Engineer – Singapore
Job Description:
Support development of business data platform, executive reporting, and a broad range of digital tools.
Working with software team to improve data collection procedures.
Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data used for analysis.
Develop automation and code that is durable and reliable.
Optimize and improve performance as data grows and needs change.
Work with functional teams to understand business problems.
Collaborates with peers, engineers, SMEs and product development partners.
As a digital product owner, gathering feedback, make decisions, and ensure that the voice of the customer is heard and acted on throughout digital product design and the delivery of that product.
Good visualization skills to create real-time dashboards and/or reports to inform trends and insights.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Using data engineering tools, languages, and frameworks to mine, cleanse and explore data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of database technologies and management systems.
Proficiency in using query languages like SQL.
Proficiency in using programming languages like Python.
Proficiency in entity-relationship modeling and understanding of normalization.
Good understanding of Continuous Integration, Version Control such as git.
Good understanding of data structures and common methods in data transformation.
Strong understanding of cloud-based systems/services.
Able to work autonomously with little guidance while troubleshooting possible root causes.
Able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
