Engineer – Systems Simulation – USA

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform simulations to assess the operation of the wind turbine and key performance attributes
  • Make design tradeoffs between the loads, stability, operation, and power output of the wind turbine
  • Assess and understand customer requirements in order to drive value creation for GE’s customers
  • Perform analysis of field abnormalities to understand root cause
  • Contribute to the development of scripts, engineering design aids, and/or software based on programming proficiency level

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in the Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or Wind/Renewable Engineering

Process Engineer  – Europe

Job Description:

Process Engineer reports to the Cell Leader and is responsible for technical support and operational supervision of Stator Bars special process.

• The PE plans and implements repair procedures based on GE documentation.

• Provides technical support to drive closure of jobs within special processes

• Identify, drive, mentor, and implement projects that improve overall production safety, quality, cycle and cost for assigned special process

• Conduct operator training on new/updated processes as needed

• Support root cause investigations and the implementation of CAPA effectiveness.

• Maintain the materials distributed to the job as per the Plan

• Own maintenance in his product Line or process and maintain the serviceability of Tools, Fixtures and instruments

• Overall responsibility for Internal Audit execution, for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements as per the Internal Audit Plan

• Analyze problems, in process inspections, internal corrective actions, as necessary, to improve overall quality systems and scrap control

Additional:

• Support customer meetings when required

• Ensure compliant vouchering of hours for their team

• Represent Cell on Component Team Call to leverage network best practices

• Drive Product/Process Qualifications for the Cell/Group by working with RTCoE

• Work with PQE & CI team to drive sustainable process changes

• Track and communicate individual operators’ performance to the operations leader

Required:

  • Engineering bachelor’s Degree or suitable practical experience
  • Knowledge of Generator spare parts repairs
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct within defined responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Lean and/or alternative continuous improvement methods
  • Must be a team player willing to sacrifice individual goals when needed
  • Knowledge of Problem solving Knowledge PDCA; RCI -A3 tools such as
