Internship Proposal Engineer – 24 months – Europe
The MSS Internship Proposal Engineer works under the supervision of the proposal manager or a more experienced engineer in learning simple analytical systems for Liquid and Gas applications. He\She provides support on proposals for the more experienced engineers and will be learning new solutions/technologies while constantly dealing/ engaging in new challenges addressing customized customer requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn about simple analytical system proposals in collaboration with Solution Architect, Senior Proposal Engineer, Sales Lead, BDMs, Execution Team, suppliers, and customers;
Participate in proposal kick-off meetings and internal/external (customer) technical/commercial negotiations;
Learn and understand, Emerson portfolio, minimum and basic applications (SWAS, Natural Gas, CEMS) of the analytical systems;
Review and summarize customer specifications;
Responsible for the right selection of analyzers (Emerson and buyout analyzers);
Perform necessary engineering calculations (lag time, power load, wake frequency, etc.);
Provide technical specifications to sub-suppliers for buyout equipment/services. Monitor and expedite sub-supplier offers required by each specific MSS analytical proposal;
Prepares and delivers simple analytical systems proposals with the help of a more experienced engineer.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree (Chemistry, Process Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent work experience;
Self-organized;
Good knowledge of MS Office;
1+ years’ experience with Analytical products and analytical system solutions within an engineering environment (proposal engineer, technical sales, application engineer) would be an advantage;
English language skills – verbal and written; Italian or German language skills are an advantage.
