Application Engineer, Supply Chain
Job Description:
Develop and deploy applications that support and change fundamental assumptions of how IT works.
Partner with the Consumer Hardware team to define and implement solutions that improve internal business processes.
Work closely with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Build internal solutions, with custom front ends (web, mobile) and backend services that automate business processes. Maintain highest levels of development practice.
Integrate third party products into internal systems as well as support and upgrade implemented systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Programming experience with Java, Web Services (e.g., RESTful, SOAP), JavaScript and Android.
Experience with developing internal business applications and business integration.
Experience working with various Internet technologies such as Borg, CloudSQL and Spanner.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience implementing, customizing and integrating third-party applications in the supply chain and/or sales space.
Experience in multiple full system implementation life cycles (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
Experience with application suites.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Developed analytical skills and a demonstrable bias toward action.
