Automotive Workshop Intern – Europe
The Jaguar Land Rover Internship Program is an opportunity for personal growth and development from a business and learning perspective. Working at JLR means opportunity, teamwork, and growth. That’s why working here is so much more than a job.
Program:
The program is open to students at a Junior or Senior level in their Bachelor’s Degree program or enrolled in a Master’s or PhD Program
The Internship length is flexible
Up to 29 hours per week during business hours (Business Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm)
Paid internship –
$26/hour for students in an undergraduate program
$31/hour for students in a Master’s program
$37/hour for students pursuing PhD
What you will be doing:
Maintaining production and pre-production engineering assets, including fleet vehicles, development rigs, and vehicle compute devices, in a safe and organized manner
Assisting with installation of hardware into vehicles
Maintaining a clean, organized workshop area in compliance with OSHA and corporate policies
Ensuring all vehicles are clean, operational, and safe
Supporting product development teams with hardware requirements for project delivery, ensuring assets are available and up to date, when available, coordinating with stakeholders to procure these assets when not available, and implementing modifications, when necessary.
Maintaining records of asset maintenance, updates, and changes in accordance with corporate guidelines, utilizing internal tools to do so
Providing clear and concise asset status reports when required
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in progress (Junior or Senior), or pursuing a graduate/PhD studies degree in a demonstrably relevant field.
Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (SharePoint experience a plus);
High level of professionalism.
Detail-oriented, self-starter, strong work ethic, team player, ability to build rapport and communicate confidently.
Demonstrated record of individual initiative and originality in research.
Strong analytical skills

Engineering Graduate – DevSec Ops & Software Architecture
The Engineering pathway is focused on two critical pillars of software development within the auto industry. During the 2-year rotational graduate program, you’ll get the opportunity to undertake missions to broaden your experience and feed your curiosity and the chance to undertake a 12-month rotation in each of the following areas:
DevSecOps
Software Architecture
Job Requirement:
Graduated college within the last 3 years with a degree associated with the program.
Demonstrated interest in hardware or software systems.
Demonstrated interest and proficiency in software development (through coursework, summer jobs, personal projects, etc.).
3.0 GPA or higher.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Familiarity with cloud computing on major platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure, or others.
High level of professionalism.
Detail-oriented, self-starter, strong work ethic, team player, ability to build rapport and communicate confidently.
Demonstrated record of individual initiative and originality in projects or research.
Possesses good analytical and written/verbal communications.
Working knowledge of C/C++
Good understanding of operating systems, embedded systems and software design principles
Nice to have:
Familiarity (or willingness to learn) with Android devices and Linux system programming
Prior internship or work experience

Graduate Program: UX Research
The pathway is focused on User Experience Research. During the 2-year rotational graduate program, you’ll get the opportunity to undertake missions to broaden your experience and feed your curiosity and the chance to undertake 4 six-month rotations across areas within the UX Research team.
Research Initiatives
The UX Research team has several strategic initiatives to help streamline research and mature our UX Research practice. In the first rotation will prioritize supporting a strategic initiative, which will also enable you to get familiar with JLR and the various product areas before rotating between them.
Digital Product Areas
Once you finish your rotation prioritizing strategic initiatives, you will conduct research—rotating between the various product areas to which the Portland office contributes for the remainder of the program.
Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirement:
Graduated from a graduate program within the last 3 years with a degree associated with the program OR currently pursuing a graduate degree after completing an undergraduate program
Interest in the automotive industry
Prior UX Research or internship experience
Keeps up with fast-paced environment
Self-driven, strong work ethic, and go-getter attitude
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and UX Research tools
Possesses good analytical and written/verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and storytelling skills
Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels with the organization and network.
