Industrial Safety Coordinator
Main Responsibilities:
Experience in the Occupational Health and Safety profession in a manufacturing environment. (1 – 3 years)
Provides interpretation, analysis, and support of programs or related projects which support the health and safety management system.
Participates in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of processes to reduce workplace hazards.
Solves problems which are complex in scope. As appropriate, interacts with external agencies as the agent of the unit in both a strategic and tactical role.
This position reports to Regional Safety Supervisor and in dotted line to the operation serving as the primary person responsible for managing safety and health programs and compliance at a unit.

May include specific roles and/or an understanding of a function, organization, industry or product line.
What Skills You Need:
Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job fulfillment of the EHS policy about experience or certification in Safety.
Investigation skills to determine root cause and conduct trend analysis of incidents.
Knowledge of governmental/agency regulatory requirements or legislation, occupational health principles, occupational safety programs and ergonomic principles, and ability to apply to workplace environments.
Understanding of occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene and ergonomic principles.

Federal regulations (Mexican and US) from labor and environmental office, Civil Protection Agency, local and state codes, STPS, OSHA advanced computer skills, Microsoft programs, good English skills, oral and written 80%, minimum 3 years of experience in similar position, experience as a Brigade member in Fire, Haz Mat and Rescue.
Education:
BS, BA, Science or Engineering, MS a plus or equivalent experience.
