IT Operations Engineer
Job Description:
Recording of problems with production-relevant IT infrastructure and support in processing them
Communication and coordination with interface departments and internal customers
Decision of escalation in emergency situations
Maintenance of the cross-departmental shop floor IT knowledge database
Maintenance of a heterogeneous system landscape by applying known solution patterns in databases and applications
Testing and validation of new developments in close contact with the internal customer
Performance analysis and monitoring of relevant systems
Automation of test scenarios and regular activities, for example in databases
Requirement:
Completed studies (specializing in computer science or business informatics), completed training as a state-certified technician or a comparable training, e.g. in the field of IT administration
Very good spoken and written English skills as well as sound PC skills (MS Office) and basic programming skills are prerequisites for this activity
Practical experience in the field of factory automation as well as an understanding of factory systems are desirable
Knowledge of Linux administration, database management (SQL), web services and application servers (e.g. JBoss, IBM Message Bus, POI) are an advantage
Ideally already experience with process automation & scripts, for example in Python, PowerShell or VBA
