Job Description:
Meta is seeking an early-career research engineer to join our Brain & AI team at FAIR (Fundamental AI Research) Paris, an organization focused on making research breakthroughs in AI. Individuals in this role are expected to be knowledgeable in research areas such as ML theory, Responsible AI, reinforcement learning, computer vision, audio, and/or NLP. Research engineers are also expected to be motivated to help produce new science that advances our understanding of intelligence.
Job Responsibilities:
Write clean and robust machine learning code
Engineer, design, implement, and improve machine learning systems and tools for enabling research
Collaborate effectively within their team to help advance its research goals
Influence progress of relevant research communities by contributing to publications
Qualifications:
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
Expertise in deep learning
Experience using PyTorch or similar deep learning libraries
Preferred:
Demonstrated research and software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub)
Co-authored high-impact publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, EMNLP, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ACL, Interspeech and ICASSP) and/or Neuroscience journals (e.g. Nature Neuroscience, Nature Human Behavior, Neuron)
Experience in open-source development
Experience working with fMRI, MEG and/or intracranial recordings

SiteOps Data Center Operations Engineer – USA
Job Description:
Facebook is seeking an entry-level engineer with graduate level experience looking to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced and complex environment. A working knowledge of server hardware and the desire to participate in projects at a large-scale data center is central to this role. This position will work to resolve and diagnose compute issues at scale, escalate issues, and work with remote engineering teams. Additionally, this role will support rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and support cloud scale compute and storage environments. Solid communication skills are a requirement for this role. This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success.
Job Responsibilities:
Work within Facebook’s ticketing system
First point of contact for break fix technicians
Responsible for assisting with projects (retrofits, new process details, etc.) and repairs throughout the data center
Understand and debug hardware and Linux OS related issues
Identify and help create documentation for the global data center knowledge base
Assist with process improvements and best practices in data center operations
Participate in on-call rotation (once a month on call for a week, after hours, first point of contact)
Qualifications:
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Experience modifying and developing in Python, SQL, and/or shell scripting
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical field, or equivalent experience/certification

Production Engineer – USA
Job Responsibilities
Understand our backbone and data center networks along with our physical infrastructure to help automate new physical designs
Design, build, manage and maintain tooling that tracks asset and enables us to deploy our physical network infrastructure
Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events
Analyze data to diagnose and identify issues in our fiber infrastructure
Be an active participant in deep technical discussions
Develop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructure
Manage flow of information & requirements between network teams, tooling teams and infrastructure teams
Qualifications
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

Experience learning new concepts around network design and management
Preferred
Experience with Network Topology & Network Design
Experience with Physical Infrastructure Network Design
Experience with developing distributed systems and operating them at scale.
