Petrofac is currently looking to recruit an IT Analyst – Application Support on a permanent basis based in Aberdeen.
IT Analyst – Application Support
Job Responsibilities:
To build strong relationships with the key business stakeholders and follow IT demand management process of capturing, documenting, suggesting potential alternatives if needed, prioritizing, and reporting on ongoing initiatives in alignment to IT policies and guidelines.
Manage support of the applications used by the Oil & Gas Field Services business of Petrofac. This includes several commercial off the shelf products from Hexagon, AVEVA, Bentley, APM tools like Maximo and mPower and a few custom-built in-house tools. Develop and maintain up to date SOPs.
License and software inventory management, application upgrade and patch management support for off the shelf products.
Work with pillar leads to drive standardisation and IT strategy etc.
Manage third party development & operation teams for timely delivery & resolution of issues.
Manage issues through business execution understanding & effective prioritization.
Develop & maintain the application and interface diagrams with level of detail required to resolve likely breaks in application and their outputs.
Good communication skills in English language.
Ability to work in a team environment and develop relationships, especially with geographically disbursed teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to rectify complicated/unfamiliar faults effectively.
Essential Skills:
Bachelor’s degree / HND from an accredited college, or university with a degree in computer science or a related discipline
Medium level working knowledge of SQL Server for writing scripts and queries.
General IT Skills.
Knowledge for System Support of Maximo, mPower, Oracle Unifier is desirable.
Experience in working within professional, enterprise level IT Org.
Understanding of the Oil & Gas field services business processes is desirable.
