Turbomachinery Field Instrumentation Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive instrument lists based on project requirements.

• Prepare and review pneumatic hook-ups, field electrical hook-ups, and wiring diagrams for instrumentation systems.

• Specify and create detailed instrument datasheets for field instruments such as transmitters, sensors, and switches.

• Select appropriate instruments for pressure, temperature, vibration, and flow measurement in turbomachinery systems.

• Design and maintain wiring and interconnection plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Prepare installation layouts and routing plans for field instrumentation.

• Ensure proper documentation and data management using AVEVA Instrumentation and AVEVA Wiring.

• Develop 2D design drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting tools.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate implementation of instrumentation systems.

• Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning of field instruments and systems.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC, ISA, and API, along with project specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in instrumentation design for turbomachinery or industrial projects.

• Proficiency in creating and managing instrument lists, datasheets, wiring diagrams, and hook-up drawings.

• Hands-on experience with AVEVA Instrumentation, AVEVA Wiring, and AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of industrial field instrumentation such as RTDs, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, and flow meters.

• Familiarity with pneumatic and electrical hook-ups and wiring standards.

Mechanical System Engineer

Job Description:

• Referencing customer specifications/contractual documents & translating into design documents for gas turbine and centrifugal compressor accessories.

• Collaborating with adjacent engineering disciplines in creation of Piping and Instrumentation diagram – a key engineering deliverable

• Good Experience in Piping and instrumentation diagram

• Handling customer queries, resolve comments during the evolution of system engineering

• Identifying project criticalities, risks and leading the design reviews, taking appropriate actions to ensure project success.

• Developing of Painting specification, electric load list, Utility consumption list & lube oil components data sheet (Pump, Motor, Heat exchanger)

• Performing manual & tool calculations/simulations using tools like CFD, Hysys, HTRI, MATLAB etc. for sizing of various Auxiliary components (example, lube oil console components, pumps/motors/valves and other components of the lube oil console).

• Addressing Material supplier queries/clarifications during Technical alignment phase, working together with Sourcing team to ensure timely placement of Purchase order.

• Interact with customer for the resolution of comments & get the documents approved from customer as per the project milestones.

• Embracing Digital culture and supporting the creation of engineering tools to achieve positive productivity

• Review and approve all documents and designs related to Gas Turbine Auxiliary systems

• Review and approve Design review action items, technical alignments, HAZOP

Mechanical Auxiliaries

Job Description:

Going through customer specifications in detail, understanding critical project requirements and deriving all necessary requirements for design of various Mechanical Auxiliaries.

Collaborating with external engineering suppliers in creation & review of basic engineering drawings & 3D models of various Mechanical Auxiliaries items.

Performing Structural analysis of baseplates, foundation loads, lifting analysis, offshore 3 point mounts using FEA tools like Ansys. (Static and dynamic analysis).

Creation of Piping line specification, including material selection & valves selection. Working on piping systems, route definition, support definition and layout finalization for skid piping /plant piping and nozzle loading .Perform / review stress analysis of piping & supports, where required.

Design/sizing of lube oil tank and selection of Lube oil system components like pumps, motors, filters, accumulators, rundown tanks, coolers and pressure control valves.

Design of skid packaging with due consideration to ergonomics, accessibility, and maintenance including acoustic enclosures / walkways & ladders.

Responsible for the design of various external BOP skids that include Oil mist eliminators, Fuel gas valve skids & scrubbers, Liquid fuel, Atomizing & Purge air skids, Seal gas treatment skids, Oil clarifiers etc. in collaboration with external OEM vendors. The responsibility will include first piece qualification and exploring local supplier base where required.

Follow the project closure till shipment with focus on Zero punch list and provide solutions & drive closure of any non-conformities during machine packaging. Extend support to FSE/FPE during installation & commissioning of the machine at site.

Support sourcing for technical alignment of vendors,

participating in various design reviews, achieving positive cost productivity.

Experience in UG NX mechanical routing will be added advantage

Project Engineer

Job Description:

Manage Customer technical interfaces and related communication.

Build solid relationship with customers to guarantee a reliable project execution.

Partnering with Products, Systems Integration, Service, Project Management and Supply Chain to ensure flawless execution as per customer needs.

Review and assess information received from ITO needed to start the job

Identify customer’s requirement indicated in contractual technical specifications and assure correct CTQ flow-down, integrated with product line standards throughout DR process.

Ensure the proper understanding of technical Customer needs inside the GE O&G organization.

Manage and schedule drawing list to be submitted to Customers (Vendor Document Register) in accordance to Contractual obligation.

Manage bill of material for the assigned project to be in accordance with contractual requirement and internal procedures.

Support Engineering planning and related issue’s resolution.

Lead internal design activities, reviews and technical decisions.

Coordinate Design Reviews and Project Review processes with the engineering team.

Leading project risk mitigation process and abatement plan through design reviews, harmonizing the approach inside the team and ensure Lesson Learnt sharing.

Attend customer meetings (kick-off, coordination review, close out, HAZOP’s, design reviews) and action plan to resolve open points.

Qualifications:

Bachelor/master’s degree in engineering discipline, Mechanical/Aeronautic or Chemical preferred.

Minimum 3+ years significant experience in a multidisciplinary assignment, in Oil & Gas environment as System Engineer, Lead Design Engineer & Project Engineer.

Control System Design Engineer

Job Description:

• Develop and implement control system architectures for industrial processes and turbomachinery applications.

• Design control logic, develop function block diagrams, and create system specifications.

• Program and configure PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems for process control.

• Perform system modeling, dynamic simulation, and stability analysis for control solutions.

• Support system integration, commissioning, and testing activities in lab and field environments.

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize control systems to enhance performance and reliability.

• Develop technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and test procedures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

• 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems.

• Proficiency with control system programming and configuration (e.g., PLC, DCS, SCADA).

• Strong understanding of control theory, system dynamics, and PID tuning.

• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet/IP.

• Experience with system modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
