Project Engineer

The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.

Job Description:

Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below. A requirement to undertake additional services shall be mutually agreed by way of contract amendment:

General Project Engineering support as part of the Storegga project delivery team.

Role #01 – Support direct to the Project Manager of the Acorn Shipping Module. The focus in the coming months will be predominantly on converging the concept select work, building the key outputs for peer reviews etc. An ideal candidate would have some development engineering experience and be able to distil the key technical / commercial outcomes for onward communication.

Role #02 – Support for the Storegga Project Manager of the Due Diligence response team. As part of the recent Government Track II CCS support for the Scottish Cluster (Acorn) a multi-discipline response will be required to respond to the forthcoming due diligence process. Monitoring of actions arising, expediting close-out and general co-ordination activities.

Deployment Hub Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for an individual who has personnel logistics experience in a fast paced operational role.

The successful individual will have a can do attitude and a dynamic approach to tasks and the role as well as an understanding how to priorities operational demands. They will have working experience and knowledge of:

  • Mobilising core crews
  • Mobilising adhoc personnel often at short notice
  • Assuring compliance of mobilisation requirements
  • This very rewarding role provides breadth of exposure to the wider business

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Co-ordinate initial mobilisation for new start (staff & adhoc) in line with company induction process.
  • Maintain accurate rota management system (ATS) with any changes.
  • Update and maintain all required company systems, i.e. Power BI portals, RDB etc.
  • Liaise with customer logistics for mobilisation requirements.
  • Update PetrofacGo with relevant company communications.
  • Engage with offshore employees and client supervision regarding any enquiries.
  • Recruitment of ad-hoc personnel in line with the BMS Adhoc Resourcing Process.
  • Raise requisitions for offshore staff vacancies.
  • Liaise with employees on short term absence and arrange RTW medical as appropriate.
  • Meeting medevacs and escorting to company medical provider(s) as required.
  • Support Team Leader with client weekly calls.
  • Provide weekly report to designated Team Leader on operational activity.
  • Monthly reporting for functional support.
  • Tool Hire & Purchase as required by the contract.
  • Update Organisational charts.
  • Collate appraisals, record as necessary.
  • Participate in offshore visits.
  • Participate in Operations On call Team.
  • Proactively support Horizon Zero and Company Health and Safety initiatives.

Qualification:

  • Good secondary/tertiary education.
  • Familiar with and understand the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Ability to organise workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work as a team member and liaise effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Awareness of project commercial and cost control issues.
  • Ability to liaise with internal teams, offshore personnel and Client effectively.
  • Capable of working on own initiative and with minimal supervision.
  • Operations experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Contractor personnel resourcing experience preferable.
  • Oracle experience would be an advantage.
  • Computer literate and experienced in Microsoft office, Word, Excel, Visio, Microsoft Access, and PowerPoint.

Engineering Management Contractor

Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below.

A requirement to undertake additional services shall be mutually agreed by way of contract amendment:

  • Act as engineering management focal point with authority within the limits of the contract parameters
  • Interact regularly with client, project sponsors and stakeholders
  • Develop appropriate engineering management strategies for to ensure ‘fit for purpose’ delivery
  • Facilitate and lead the input of the engineering team to the creation of scopes, estimates, task prioritisation and input to integrated plans
  • Perform challenge and assurance on project estimates and scopes
  • Coordinate, resolve, or assist in resolution of conflicts and other issues within the engineering function on the contract and recommend/provide solutions
  • Facilitate and enable collaborations between engineering team and other team members to optimise performance
