SOC Analyst (New Grads Computer Engineering)

Job Description:
Monitor security alerts in SIEM for various IT and OT assets within either 9×5 or 24×7 operational environments
Perform manual triaging of triggered alerts to identify potential security incidents and threats
Document true positives and initiate incident response as needed
Perform host and network data collection for incident response and forensics
Analyze collected evidence and reach objective conclusions
Lead individual stages of incident response as needed
Collaborate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders
Document incident response workflow and maintain chain of custody for collected evidence
Compile post-incident report and present evidence and documentation to executive and legal teams, and law enforcement agencies as needed
Support special security and compliance requirements of external parties
Bonus – ability to independently run threat hunting
Extra bonus – ability to independently perform security assessments, pen-testing and red-teaming in IT and OT environments
Qualification:
New graduate from bachelor’s in computer science or Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a focus in Information Technology Graduated from post-secondary within the last 12 months.
Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request.
Relevant technical work experience in areas of Information Technically
