Logistics Specialist A –
Job Description:
May work or assists in all areas of the warehouse including material handling, shipping and stock-room.
Schedule inbound and/or outbound trucks.
Load and unload LTL and flatbed trucks with forklifts and cranes.
Inspect for damage and discrepancies and comparing inbound/outbound shipment to packing lists and bill of lading to ascertain that quantities, destination and processing are accurate.
Processes SAP receiving, shipping, and/or stockroom transactions, ensuring accuracy of materials, quantities, and stock types inputted.
Generates reports on goods receiving, shipping, and/or stockroom activity.
Creates Purchase requisitions for freight cost and miscellaneous expenses related to shipping product.
Resolves undeliverable outbound deliveries and processes non-compliant materials through purchase order discrepancy process on own and through coordination with logistics, production, supervisor, and/or customer service
Files daily, shipping, receiving and/or stockroom paperwork in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley controls
Experience in Shipping, Receiving and in Warehouse/Stockroom environment.
Computer skills and knowledge of SAP functions relating to Shipping and Warehouse operations.
1-2 years powered equipment. fork truck and crane experience
Previous experience moving heavy bulky parts
Ability to work independently and in teams
Good oral and written communication skills
Basic knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A combination of formal education, training and experience to acquire knowledge and skills general equivalent.
Minimum of a High school diploma or GED equivalent required
