Project Engineer – Painted Post, NY
Job Description:
As a Project Engineer, you will focus on broad, multi-functional projects, including close internal collaboration with Engineering Teams, as well as critical client-facing activities.
Manage complete technical scope for supply of reciprocating compressor trains and extended plant scope
Working with suppliers, select auxiliary components including motors, consoles, coolers, scrubbers, instrumentation, wiring, valves, etc.
Support Project Manager to address technical concerns with internal and external clients
Manage Engineering schedule, including on time release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation
Manage all technical contract requirements on assigned projects to deliver on targets and objectives, including certifications and compliance to all applicable standards
Provide engineering support during proposal, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning and operation
Support team with detailed design decisions to meet contract requirements, such as overall system control philosophies and main equipment specification
Conduct detailed review of contract requirements and specifications and translate these for the project team
Perform design analyses; calculations including compressor performance, torsional analysis, and other reciprocating compressor-focused areas
Leverage your skills to move the world forward.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or engineering related field
Leadership roles on collegiate teams/engineering projects and/or internships
Solid critical thinking skills, as well as a natural inclination to lead/take ownership
Superior time management, communication, and software skills
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, domestic as well as international
