Are you looking for a challenging junior position and would you like to contribute to improving production processes and ensuring high quality standards?
As an Energy Operator at Tata Steel, you play a crucial role in our Energy Company.
Your goal is to improve the quality requirements and the progress of the production process.
You are responsible for, among other things, generating and distributing energy media, while strictly monitoring compliance with regulations in the field of quality, safety, working conditions and the environment.
You work closely with various departments and colleagues, including Heads of the Guard, Team Leaders, Production and external companies. You operate across the entire site.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensuring continuity: You ensure that planned production runs without interruptions, according to the specified specifications.
Maintenance and innovation: You carry out periodic maintenance on installations and provide support for new construction, in order to minimize disruptions in the production process.
Provide insight: You create progress information and waiting reports so that your team is always aware of the status and details within the production process.

Job Requirement:

Shift Quality Technologist – UK, Europe

Job Description:
As a Shift Quality Technologist, your role is pivotal in ensuring that all tubes meet the requirements of relevant technical and customer specifications.
You’ll be responsible for providing a product inspection service for the manufacturing functions.
Additionally, you’ll visually inspect finished individual tubes and strapped bundles, ensuring that all details on the label align with the product.
Measuring various product dimensions to verify conformity to the product standards is another critical aspect of your work.
Your expertise will be essential in identifying any non-conforming material and ensuring that it is dispositioned appropriately.
You’ll collaborate with the Manufacturing team, providing technical insights to support decision-making and embedding Continual Improvement programs at the shift team level.
As part of your responsibilities, you’ll also participate in quality audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Level 3 qualification (A ‘levels, BTEC, ONC or equivalent) in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline, or relevant experience in a Manufacturing environment.
An ability to work flexibly and accurately as part of a team in order to support quality requirements on a shift basis.
Knowledge of metal or material manufacturing processes and an understanding of the importance of following correct safe working procedures.
Basic computer literacy around standard software packages.
Knowledge of other Tata Businesses and market customers.
Knowledge of problem solving and analytical techniques.
The Quality Technologist should be computer literate, able to use a variety of measuring systems and have a good eye for detail.
A good knowledge of tube making, finishing processes and inspection techniques practiced in the Corby site is essential.
You will be a trained crane operator and ideally with FLT experience.
A good knowledge of the processes and properties of steels used within the Corby tube making processes would be advantageous.

Electrical Craft Team Member
A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Team Member to join the Engineering team based at the 20” Pipe Mill, Hartlepool.
We are looking for someone to provide first line expertise to our manufacturing areas as part of a small, multi-disciplined engineering team.
Job Description:
Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenance
Continuously maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensure safe working procedures are followed
Provide first line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime
Suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems through collaboratively working with relevant peers
Possess a high quality of work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence
We want to speak to people that can bring a problem solving approach to their work.
You’ll have completed an electrical apprenticeship, or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar).
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in heavy engineering manufacturing, as well as possessing excellent interpersonal skills.

Overhead Cranes & associated safety systems
PLC’s in the main Siemens & Allen Bradley including HMI’s
