Civil Engineer

As a Civil Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering works contracts within a major construction project. Working alongside a dedicated Construction Management team, you’ll act as Project Manager, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are met.
From reviewing designs and managing construction programmes to collaborating with contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, you’ll be involved in every stage of the project.
You’ll also manage budgets, coordinate site works, and work collaboratively to solve challenges and deliver on ambitious objectives.
We’re looking for a Civil Engineer who’s ready to make an impact.
Job Requirements:
HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
Experience in reviewing civil engineering drawings and managing construction contracts.
A strong understanding of health and safety in construction.
Proven experience managing costs, budgets, and quality on-site.
A UK/EEC driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered membership (or working towards it) with a relevant professional body.
Experience in industrial or heavy civil engineering projects.
Familiarity with NEC contracts and BIM systems like BIM360 or ACC.

Process support
Closing Date: Tuesday 11th February 2025
Working Monday to Friday on site, you will be required to support the operational annual plan and ongoing development of relevant asset groups to deliver the requisite levels of manufacturing performance.
You’ll work directly for the manufacturing manager and will help ensure health and safety issues are reported and followed up in a timely manner.
Provide accurate and timely data to support daily PDCA processes and annual plan development
Co-ordinate delivery of training plans across process group i.e. crane/FLT/skills matrix
Maintain records to support manufacturing, health & safety & quality audits to demonstrate & ensure continuous compliance
Support process improvement plans & projects for key assets and initiatives
Maintain work systems & processes such that they support delivery of the operational plan
Facilitate cost reduction plans across process group e.g. materials, consumables
Assist business leads with operational support as required
Support shift teams in problem solving and resolution of repeat shift issues
Occasionally assist with stock taking and other needed tasks within a warehouse environment
Qualification:
For this role you will need a base knowledge of Microsoft Office alongside good organisational skills.
You will also need to have strong communication skills and be adapt at problem solving.
It would be beneficial for you to have product and process knowledge in relation to manufacturing.
Also, experience in risk assessments, Salus and quality control standards in relevant areas would be advantageous.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

The principal responsibilities of this role are to support operations teams by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability, business objectives and productivity targets are maintained.
The role can be an interesting and challenging one, with two days never the same. If you are up for a challenge and are looking to put your own stamp on this position, then we want to hear from you.
Qualification:
To be considered for this position you must be qualified at a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or have served a recognized apprenticeship.
You will need to demonstrate a sound electrical background and proven track record. The successful candidate will operate as part of a small team and should be fully conversant with current health & safety regulations.
Ideally you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering / industrial environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.

To support the department in the development and implementation of processes which comply with the Tata Steel H&S Management System
Utilising the planned maintenance system (Pirana), raising emerging work orders detailing non conformities observed and proposed corrective actions necessary to resolve issues
Support the Engineering team to determine root cause and measures appropriate to prevent reoccurrence
Ensuring clear and concise records are maintained in order trends can be determined and corrective actions identified

The role of maintenance engineer (electrical) is critical to the business supporting the achievement of Business goals.

The role of the maintenance engineer (electrical) is to effectively maintain all process and auxiliary equipment across the facility with an aim to improve up time while reducing costs.
The role will involve the reporting and recording of maintenance and repair details for all work activities, using the appropriate maintenance management and IT systems.
Qualification:
To be considered for this position you must be qualified at a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade ideally obtained through a recognised craft or modern apprenticeship scheme.
The ability to demonstrate experience of a relevant engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques and dealing with contractors.
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate. The ability to work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales is essential.

Customs Advisor

As Customs advisor you will assist the business in meeting its customs legislative and compliance requirements especially in the UK. You will support the UK Customs Manager, UK Customs Advisor and other tax team members to provide specialist customs advice and work collaboratively with the business in order to implement practical solutions on operational issues.

Qualification:
Essential:
Customs administration experience.
At minimum Undergraduate Degree or 4 years Customs experience in similar role.
Experience of working in a commercial environment.
Affinity with IT software, including experience in relevant Windows packages (word, excel, PowerPoint).
Proven track record of functioning well within a small team and a great sense of responsibility, a practical/hands-on attitude, strong analytical skills and good numerical insight, a proactive and decisive attitude.
Ability to communicate technical concepts (both verbally and in writing) to non-customs specialists in a clear and readily understandable way.
Desirable:
In possession of a relevant tax, customs or logistics qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA CTA).
Experience of working in a customs or international trade support position.
Experience of logistics and physical distribution within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with SAP and customs-related software.
