Network Engineers may work internally as part of the organisation’s IT support team or externally as part of an outsourced IT networking consultancy firm working with a number of prized clients.
Establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
Other tasks include monitoring network performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation.
A technical Degree is not a prerequisite, however a keen interest and IT understanding is essential.
Understanding customer requirements through various delivery artefacts like Business Design documents, user journeys, personas, user stories, etc.
Attending customer meetings, workshops and embarking on fact-finding missions into the business’ processes to ascertain how they function.
