Security Engineer – Insider Risk
As a Security Engineer for an Insider Risk Program, you will monitor and triage alerts related to insider threats—ranging from policy violations to potential malicious activity.
You will support the investigation and remediation processes with our partner teams across Microsoft.
The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and global team environment, demonstrate sound and consistent judgement, and can work independently.

Job Responsibilities:
Respond to detections and escalations related to Insider Threat.
Identify, collect, and analyze essential data from variety of sources to validate suspicious behaviors.
Coordinate the investigation and mitigation steps with other internal teams within Microsoft globally.
Develop playbooks to improve processes and information sharing across teams.
Work closely with engineering and first party product teams to author new detections, or tune existing detections to improve quality of alerts.
Provide investigation support, including containment and remediation during insider threat incidents.
Ensure metrics are complete and accurate and findings are documented in case management system.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response.
OR Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
Experience with data query language such as SQL, KQL.
