Software Engineer / Specialist (2-10 Yr)(Tandem, Cobol)(Pune)
Responsible for design, development, modification, debug and/or maintenance of software systems
Job Description:
• You will design, develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications.
• You will follow Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology and release processes, to ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable, and demo the software products to stakeholders.
• You will investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.
• You will work within a team, collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with cross functional teams to achieve goals.
• You will assume technical accountability for your specific work products within an application and provide technical support during solution design for new requirements.
• You will be encouraged to actively look for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science/IT/Computer Science or equivalent
• Professional & Relevant Experience – 3-10 years on Tandem technologies like COBOL, Netbatch, Pathway, ENFORM, SCOBOL, TACL, TAL, SQL, FUP
• Good to have – Java, C
• Maintenance, Support & Development in Tandem Application
•Shift Working (1-10 or 3-12, but flexibility as per business need)
•Provide production support (resolve job abends) for customer applications for any issue

Fiber Engineer – India
Performs all aspects of OSP engineering for fiber projects according to requirements and guidelines.
Designs/draft the fiber network with optimal route by doing feasibility analysis.
Works within customer systems to produce a cost-effective engineering design for the construction team.
Produce quality products to reduce multiple quality checks.
Timely raise the queries and concern related to the project.
Support and timely availability to deliver the client submittals to meet OTP and quality.
Plan fiber/copper cables to poles and place underground cables according to construction requirements.
Take constructive feedback from the QCs/Leads and work to improve efficiency and quality.
Flexible to work in any team/projects as per requirements.
Work with the given timeline to complete the task and adapt quickly changing priorities.
Should be able to think towards new working ways (Automation, process optimization).
Open to take new roles and responsibilities if assigned by the managers as per business needs.
Attentive in all the training/feedback sessions and should be able to explain/recall, if asked by the leads/trainers. Considering candidate expertise, skills they will be moved to specific roles, jobs.
Qualification:
1-4 year of experience in Fiber network design engineering in ASE, F2, Green Field/DFIB, F1/F3 scope of work.
Experience working tools: Aramis, AutoCad, QC Experience, Fiber Engineering Experience &Permit Experience
B.Tech in any Engineering or equivalent

Fiber Engineer (Autocad AND TCP Permit OR Layout design)
Join our fiber engineering team to drive permit planning and layout design for high-impact OSP projects while ensuring seamless coordination with cross-functional teams and local authorities.
What will your job look like?
You’ll be responsible for end-to-end permit planning for fiber deployment projects as per customer and jurisdictional requirements.
Design the best fiber route layouts while collaborating closely with onshore teams and clients to resolve technical concerns.
Ensure timely and high-quality permit submissions while using tools like AutoCAD, Google Earth, GIS, NearMaps, and MIC.
Contribute to construction readiness by recommending optimal routes and identifying local authority compliance needs.
Qualification:
B.Tech in Engineering or equivalent qualification
Solid understanding of Fiber OSP Engineering and layout planning
Working knowledge of permit processes across jurisdictions
Hands-on expertise in tools: AutoCAD, Google Earth, GIS, NearMaps, and MIC
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Knowledge of Traffic Control Planning (TCP) is a plus
