Software System Engineer 1
As an Engineer 1 in Software System Engineering, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, troubleshooting and debugging activities associated with new and enhanced software systems programs supporting Dell and 3rd party hardware. You’ll modify existing software products to add new functionality, adapt to new hardware, improve performance/reliability or enhance product usability. You’ll participate in product development in all stages from planning and design to development and testing as well as complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
Job Requirements:
Apply knowledge and basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve problems as well as learn to use professional concepts to determine a course of action based on guidelines
Gather business requirements and participate in product definition and feature prioritization, including customer usability studies and drive idea generation for new system software products, or for the next version of an existing product

Work with the team to develop, maintain and communicate current development schedules, timelines and development status
Create technical documentation of system software products/solutions; Assist with the development and review of end user and technical end user documentation as well as protect Intellectual Property by working appropriate legal elements (procurement, patents, opensource, for example)
