Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has hired over 12 senior executives from Cognizant after the management shakeup in the company. The engineering major has big plans to scale the IT business.
L&T Infotech (LTI) has hired these former Cognizant executives. Following last year’s acquisition of Mindtree, the engineering conglomerate has big plans to scale its IT business. LTI is one of the several tech arms of Larsen and Toubro.
The tech firm has decided to hire three Cognizant executives. These executives include Vikas Gaur, who has joined as EVP and head of cloud, data, and digital. Gaur worked as the VP of global delivery head and digital engineering at Cognizant. Archana Ramanakumar has joined as EVP and global delivery head for the consumer (Pharma, media, and tech). Banwari Agarwal has joined in April as EVP. She has spent 21 years at Cognizant.
In the last month, LTI appointed Deepak Parameswaran as the chief business officer of L&T-NxT. At Cognizant, he was the VP of digital systems and technology. He has spent nearly 15-years with Cognizant. Last year, L&T appointed Ajay S Bhutoria as the CEO of L&T-Nxt and Aan Chauhan as the CTO.
LTI is hoping that these executives could help in ramping up the business much faster. LTI has nearly $1.5 billion in revenue. The company has hired Cognizant leaders for strategic initiatives through L&T-NxT. The company focuses on global customers focused on energy, utilities, transportation, logistics, civil infrastructure, and manufacturing industries.
