Project Controls Engineer (Fresh Graduate)

University Hire will be primarily responsible for supporting various Project Controls activities with an objective of strengthening individual’s knowledge about Project Controls practices followed globally. Bechtel has a long tradition of technical and engineering excellence in supporting the design and construction of some of the most challenging mega projects located all over the world. Project Controls is one of the key functions within Bechtel. The function provides Estimating, Planning and Scheduling, and Cost Engineering services to the rest of the company.

Supports cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, reporting, and monitoring activities, as directed. For a large project or staff group, duties encompass a variety of tasks, but remain within parameters established by the procedure or process being supported. For a medium project staff group, duties encompass a variety of tasks that are required to support the project/group.

Qualification: 

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Mechanical from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months.

Ability to conduct site walkdowns which may consist of climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces and within confined spaces, with reasonable accommodations.

Prior co-op or internship experience.

Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required:

Working knowledge of Primavera or Microsoft Project Scheduling software, Power BI, Access, and/or Excel.

Prior internship experience working in an engineering, project management, construction management environment. Prior internship or college project experience in estimating, planning and scheduling, budget control and cost control.

Basic understanding of technical processes, interpretation of engineering drawings, and project management practices associated with engineering and construction projects.

Ability and willingness to frequently relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsite locations.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Document Control – Co-op Trainee

Job Responsibilities:

Infrastructure/Automation

Develop and edit eForms.

Assist in software lifecycle documentation.

Plan for automation, using UX/UI principles.

Map processes to be streamlined.

Create channels to distribute eForms across organization.

Assist software bugs with accounts, user access, and updating.

Technical Publications

Proofreads, edits, and coordinates the production of simple documents and other print and electronic media.

Reviews document requirements and content issues with customers and/or authors and may coordinate production of projects
with graphics, document formatting, reprographics, and any additional editorial support.

Plans formatting of documents, organizes content, edits text and graphics, and provides instructions for final reproduction.

Works with departments and assists with web page modification, design, and creation using SharePoint.

May assist with Professional Development courses, researching, creating, assembling, and teaching.

Updating and publishing metrics.

Qualification: 

Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university.

Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in one of the above fields.

Mechanical Engineer (Fresh Graduate)

University Hire will be primarily responsible for supporting various engineering activities with an objective of strengthening individual’s knowledge about Construction practices followed globally. This entry-level position will allow you to perform assignments that will develop professional working knowledge and abilities through the application of applicable codes and standards, as well as engineering calculations and techniques, procedures, and criteria. You will exercise limited, but increasing, judgment in performing your assigned duties using methods prescribed by your supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

Selecting and specifying equipment.

Preparing flow or detailed system piping and instrumentation diagrams.

Contracts Engineer (Fresh Graduate)

University Hire will be primarily responsible for supporting various Supply Chain activities with an objective of strengthening individual’s knowledge about Supply Chain practices followed globally. The Procurement and Contracts organization is responsible for obtaining the equipment, and materials needed for our projects. As a member of this team, you will perform functions that include work planning, sourcing, supplying, delivering, and storing procured equipment and materials to Bechtel’s global projects.

Qualification: 

Contracts lead the formation and management of service agreements. For our projects, you will participate in all aspects of contracting, including engaging private partnerships, design and engineering firms, construction subcontractors, and other service providers.

The various procurement and contracts activities demand detail-oriented individuals with multifaced skills, flexibility, enthusiasm for individual and team tasks, and knowledge of supply chain functions, contract terms, and legal requirements.

This involves administrative and field tasks per established industry practices, procedures, and regulatory and Bechtel requirements. The position requires practical application of industrial hygiene disciplines for managing safety and health aspects of a project or facility.

Qualification:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or Master of Science (MS) degree, from an accredited university or college in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or a related scientific field.

Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.

Knowledge and experience with industrial hygiene monitoring, risk assessment, and control methods.

Project Controls (Civil, Mechanical Engineering) – Co-op Trainee

Job Description: 

The Cooperative Training will be given an overview and training in various Project controls functions/verticals, The primary coverage will be on the processes based on a two-month program.

Cooperative Trainees will work under the supervision and guidance of respective vertical leaders and will work closely with team leads and supervisors for day-to-day activities as follows:

Students will be learning various systems and procedures which are used by these verticals.

Collaborative Trainees would be provided training and expected to assist in preparing weekly/monthly reports/activities including developing and utilizing databases, and various other reports.

Shadowing and learning from experienced professionals in the field.

Assisting with day-to-day tasks and projects.

Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.

Conducting research and analysis as required.

Contributing innovative ideas and solutions to ongoing projects.

Job Requirements:

Students must be in the final stages of graduation.

Bachelor of Science Degree program in civil engineering at an accredited college or university
