Data science Internship – Europe 

The AI@EY Team is looking for a Data Scientist with a background in machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) technologies to help design and build cutting edge AI solutions. The AI@EY Team is creating innovative AI technology and products that will transform EY and our clients. The successful candidate will be part of a team building innovative AI solutions that rely on AI and ML techniques including but not limited to natural language processing, computer vision, deep learning, and machine learning.

The AI@EY Team is creating a model for how AI can reinvent large companies, and industries. Through EY’s network of more than 250,000 professionals working in every sector, we have an opportunity to offer AI products and services that transform how business is done in all types of enterprises and to realize the vision of building a better working world.

You’ll help with substantial parts of developing and implementing a wide range of machine learning models to documents, images and structured data. You will drive development of large portions of critical project deliverables. You may guide other engineers, estimate task effort and communicate your approach and results effectively.

Qualification:

Bachelor/ Master’s Degree in Computer science, Big data, or any relevant discipline
Machine Learning domain: solid understanding of and practical experience with various advanced analytics techniques and model families, including Decision Trees, Random Forest, Bayesian models, instance-based learning, association learning and Deep Learning algorithms, with a focus on Neural Networks and NLP applications.
Excellent level of Programming languages (Python, Scala) and statistical software (R, MATLAB); Best practices for each language; familiarity with SQL Database
Consulting skill sets to translate business requirements to analytics solution, and vice versa.
Fluent in English; Spanish or other languages are an asset.

You will deliver technology focused solutions based on industry best practices, processes, resources, tools and accelerators. Our teams deliver small, medium and large-scale multi-year programme transformations through Waterfall, Agile or adaptive hybrid approaches based on customer requirements.

Systems Engineering

Build, manage, maintain mission-critical applications. We work with clients to develop business systems which underpin strategic transformation, increase productivity and deliver high-quality outputs through our development teams, methodologies and DevSecOps.

Business and Technical Analysis

In Business and Technical Analysis, we develop business requirements and operating model designs to help turn strategy into business value, leveraging our proven approach and accelerators to apply best practice learnings to develop solutions for our clients.

Digital Assurance and Testing

Work with our clients to embed quality across their delivery lifecycle. We provide a wide range of services, including Test Maturity Assessment, Test Strategy creation, Test Automation strategy and implementation and manual and technical testing services.

SAP Services Group

Provide our clients with expertise across a range of SAP disciplines including application, infrastructure, data and security. Our team advise and implement ERP strategy and roadmaps for S/4HANA and SAP cloud transition.

Cybersecurity

Use industry standard frameworks to incorporate a Security by Design approach which infuses cybersecurity and business resilience into every part of any organisation. Work with clients to understand their technology risks, develop risk management frameworks and mitigation strategies.

Microsoft and Cloud Services

Leverage EYs global partnership with Microsoft to design and implement Microsoft based solutions. Our strong local capability support client’s digital transformation journey with Microsoft, AWS and other cloud-based products.

Digital and Emerging Technology

We build data platforms which collate data from disparate sources, enabling data scientists to derive the greatest insight. We help our clients understand the latest blockchain & automation trends and the impact on their industry delivering operating models, infrastructure and Centres of Excellence to deliver and support automation.

Digital Manufacturing Technology

We work with our clients to develop people-centric solutions to drive manufacturing excellence using dynamic predictive data analytics, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. We work with all stakeholders from C-suite to the shop floor to create action plans linked to measurable outcomes.

Technology Transformation

As part of the Technology Transformation Team, you will help solve challenges across a range of clients in a range of different industries to define their IT Strategy and technical Architecture across different infrastructures.

Salesforce

You will learn and provide technical expertise in one or more Salesforce clouds and products – e.g Core Clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience), Salesforce Industries, Mulesoft, etc – leveraging the Salesforce platform and its ecosystem.

Sustainability Technology

The Sustainability Technology team executes and drives end-to-end transformational IT-centric programmes and projects by delivering solutions, which encompass people, process, and technology. Our solutions provide clients with sustainability digital services across ESG, EHS and Sustainability in collaboration with our EY Partner Ecosystem.

Qualification:

A minimum 2.1 or higher in your chosen Bachelor’s degree.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
A background or strong interest in STEM.
You demonstrate integrity, respect, and teaming.
You have the energy, enthusiasm and the courage to lead.
You can see the bigger picture, while also being detail oriented.
You enjoy problem solving, you are willing to ask questions, embrace new challenges and are passionate about reimagining the future.

Desirable but not required:

If you have completed an Erasmus, relevant course of study and/or a relevant Internship; if you have had a part time job or business, have given time dedication to a skill, sport, or volunteering work.
Proficiency in computer programming languages (required for some areas within Technology Consulting but not all).
