A professional team of vocational trainers will guide and support you during your 4-year apprenticeship with Google.

After an onboarding period, you will be fully engaged in existing and new projects that will challenge you and lay the foundation for a successful future as a Digital Business Developer.

Job Responsibilities:

Software Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) Intern, 2025 (English) – India

Google is invested in increasing future computer scientists and software developers, particularly those who are historically underrepresented in the field. Many aspiring computer scientists could benefit from a program that bridges the gap between academic study and a professional internship. Google aims to inspire these underrepresented students to continue in the field with such a program.

With this in mind, Google is pleased to announce the 2025 STEP internship in India. It will be open to under-represented groups who will be in the second year of their university studies by the Summer of 2025 and are studying Computer Science or a related subject.

This summer trainee program includes a development project that you will work on with a team of Googlers and other STEP Interns. You will enhance your coding skills, and gain exposure to tools and programming languages. You will attend ongoing technical talks by executive Googlers, match with a Google Engineer, to guide you through your summer experience, and engage in social activities, community building, and networking.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, majoring or intending to major in Computer Science or related technical field.

Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.

Ability to communicate in English fluently to actively participate in technical discussions.

Preferred qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a full time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship.

Ability to complete a full-time, 10-12 week internship between May and August 2025 (exact program dates will be provided at a later point in the process).

Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) Intern, 2025 – Taiwan

This internship is intended for students enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science or a related field. This program includes three main components: a software project, skills-based training, and professional development. This summer trainee program includes:

Software Project: A development project that you will work on with a team of Googlers and other STEP Interns.

Skills-Based Training: Enhance your coding skills, and gain exposure to new tools and programming languages.

Professional Development: Attend ongoing technical talks by senior Googlers. Additionally, learn how to enhance your resume, approach technical interviews, and improve your presentation skills.

Mentorship: Be matched with a Google Engineer, other than your manager, to guide you through your summer experience.

Fun: Engage in social activities, community building and networking. Build relationships with your peers.

Exposure: Gain a unique glimpse into applying your Computer Science studies in a professional environment.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, majoring or intending to major in Computer Science or

The Student Researcher Program fosters academic collaborations by hiring students onto research projects aligned to company priorities in scientific advancement. The program offers placements on teams across Google, for research, engineering, and science roles. As a Student Researcher, you will have the opportunity to participate in research projects focused on developing solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or related technical field.
