McKinsey would like to offer you an opportunity to apply for one of our scholarship and internship programs. These opportunities have been designed to recognize talent and diversity from across Australia and New Zealand.
We believe in developing outstanding leaders who are passionate about creating impact. To support your personal and professional growth, we are offering a number of internship opportunities, and for a select few, the opportunity to also receive a $20,000 scholarship.
At different points during the year, we will offer the following internships and scholarships to students in their pre-penultimate and penultimate years of study:
Women’s Internship & Scholarship
Women’s Internship & Scholarship for female applicants interested in the consulting path in line with our commitment to supporting women in building successful careers
McKinsey would like to offer you an opportunity to apply for the Women’s Internship and Scholarship, a program designed to recognize talent and support women who would like to maximize their potential. The Women’s Internship and Scholarship welcomes students from a broad range of university degrees as they gain firsthand experience in consulting at McKinsey.
The Australia and New Zealand offices are offering a number of internship opportunities and for a select few, the opportunity to also receive a $20,000 scholarship. The internship process is a potential pathway to receiving a full-time business analyst offer upon completion of your studies. You will also be assigned a mentor to help navigate your final year of studies before joining the firm as a business analyst.
First Nations Internship & Scholarship
First Nations Internship & Scholarship for applicants who are interested in the consulting path and identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

To support your personal and professional growth we are offering a number of paid consulting internship opportunities in one of our Australian or New Zealand offices, as well as a pathway for a full time role and the opportunity to receive a $20,000 scholarship.
Māori & Pasifika Internship & Scholarship
Māori & Pasifika Internship & Scholarship for applicants who are interested in the consulting path and identify as Māori or Pasifika
You will join our Auckland office as part of the Māori & Pasifika Scholarship and Internship program. You will be part of a client project team, collaborating with colleagues and clients to solve their toughest business problems. The Māori & Pasifika Scholarship and Internship is an opportunity designed to recognise talent and diversity within the Australian and New Zealand offices.
We believe in developing Māori & Pasifika leaders who are passionate about creating impact. To support your personal and professional growth we are offering a number of paid consulting internship opportunities in our New Zealand office, as well as a potential pathway for a full time role and the opportunity to receive a $20,000 scholarship.
Students from a diverse range of experiences and degrees are welcome to apply.
Each internship has different eligibility criteria, but all applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and currently reside in Australia or New Zealand.
Coaching and mentorship will be an integral part of your development at McKinsey. Peers will give you feedback and support, and partners will help you grow and plan the next several years of your career.
To underpin your journey through the recruiting process, you will be assigned an interview buddy and invited to an interview case-coaching workshop. You will also have the chance to connect with past scholarship and internship winners who are currently at McKinsey.
