Associate Intern
As an associate intern, you will join a client service team for 8-10 weeks, contributing to workstreams to help solve some of the toughest challenges our clients face.
Typically enrolled in advanced graduate degree program (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.); Requirements may vary by country or practice.
Excellent organization capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s), with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels.
Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning.
Ability to create work product-focused materials / outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables.

Capabilities & Insights Analytics Analyst – Geospatial Analytics
You will work with the Geospatial team to create business insights from location-based analytical problems for our clients. As part of your role, you will also support team workflow administration and knowledge coordination. You will work in a fast-paced team environment combining business thinking and spatial intelligence to solve business problems across a variety of industries and geographies.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant quantitative field (such as computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, etc.)Strong command of English (both verbal and written)Flexibility and willingness to travel to client locations as required1+ years of data science experience, including academic experience and internships is a plus
Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning and statistical techniques (such as clustering, decision trees, artificial neural networks, regression, etc.), and their application in the real world
Programming experience in Python and SQL is a must; some experience with R, Scala is preferable though not essential
Familiarity with geospatial analysis, spatial statistics, network analysis, and geographic visualization and experience in working with GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS) would be an added advantage
Familiarity with data visualization tools and platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, R Shiny, Kepler) to visualize data and provide insight
Experience with big data: extraction, processing, filtering, and presenting large data quantities via AWS
Strong team-orientation and a professional attitude
Good presentation and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex analytical concepts to business stakeholders

Intern – McKinsey Digital
You’ll work in teams of typically 3 – 5 consultants, playing an active role in all aspects of the client engagement.
This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You’ll also have the opportunity to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members.
You’ll gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. Interns receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on their teams. This support includes a partner from your local office or practice assigned to you to help guide your career as well as formal training in your first few weeks as an intern
