Tax Associate Intern – Malaysia

Job Description:

Interns will gain exposure in: –

Prepare and execute accurate and timely tax returns, respective supporting documents required and tax payments.

Develop professional working relationships with colleagues within the process and in the interface process across Finance Operations.

Ensure effectiveness of operating controls and report all control incidences.

Update work instructions as and when applicable and at regular intervals as per Work Instructions policy guidelines

Conduct variance analysis, reasonableness checks and reconciliations.

Collate information for enquiries from external auditors and authorities.

Support change management initiatives and contribute to successful go-live of tax migrations.

Identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve processes.

Comply to Shell Group records management & Information risk management procedures and manage the working papers and supporting documentation related to the tax returns.

Perform Balance Sheet analysis on tax accounts balances and ensure accuracy of balances as per required guidelines.

Role requirement

Internship requirements in Finance/Accounting or equivalent Professional Qualification

Working knowledge of MS Office

Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.

Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications/Macro is welcomed.

Associate Site Reliability Engineer – Australia

As an Associate Site Reliability Engineer, you will support the reliability, scalability, and performance of our applications in SEAu. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience in software engineering and/or system operations who are eager to grow in a high-impact, collaborative DevSecOps environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in monitoring and maintaining production systems and services.

Support incident response efforts and contribute to root cause analysis.

Participate in automating deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to support new feature rollouts.

Contribute to documentation of operational procedures and runbooks.

Learn and apply best practices in system reliability, observability, and performance tuning.

Qualification:

Associate Engr – Smart Plant Instrumentation – India 

As an Associate Engineer – SmartPlant Instrumentation, you will manage the maintenance of field, analyzer, and control system instruments (PLC, DCS) in the oil and gas industry using Hexagon Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) INTOOLS. Your responsibilities include preparing JB schedules, loop diagrams, specification updates, and maintaining the instrument index. You will troubleshoot E2E wiring for field instruments, propose technical solutions, coordinate with stakeholders, conduct risk assessments, ensure QA/QC, and maintain records to ensure high equipment reliability and plant availability. Additionally, you will lead the INTOOLS project database, manage data merging and claiming within agreed SLAs, and ensure quality measures. Promoting a ‘First Time Right’ culture, you will analyze technical data and documents, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and project teams to support downstream businesses.

Qualification:

University Degree in Instrumentation & Control/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical or related full-time university degree.

Skill/Mastery knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI)

Knowledge level of field instrumentation, control valves, DCS/IPS system, marshalling, junction boxes, etc.

Must be familiar with engineering drawings (PEFS, Instrument datasheets) to perform qc checks on the SPI data.

Trading Desk Analyst – Brazil

As a Trading Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Adhering to Shell’s Business Principles, market Regulations, and contributing to and maintaining a culture of Compliance

To ensure all the trading transactions and exposures are represented accordingly in the Shell’s systems

To ensure all the trading transactions are in accordance with pre-established risk parameters

Collaboration with gas and power trading, operations, and sales/origination teams

Contributing to and ensuring alignment with Shell Energy Brazil and Shell Energy Americas’ overall goals and strategies

Interacting with other support functions in the organization such as Finance, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Market Risk

Knowledge of the developing Brazilian Domestic Gas market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive it

Knowledge of the Brazilian Power Trading market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive it

Collaboration with the financial trade group to understand exposure management of long dated derivative exposures that the trade book will carry

Qualification:

Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related field

Minimum one (1) year of experience with market risk at a trading business (power trading), banking, or in any work-related field

Fluency in both Portuguese and English

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, understanding of financial modeling

Good interpersonal skills

Respect for colleagues, and the ability to work as a part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Extensive spreadsheet management skills (Excel, Power BI)
