Graduate Trainee – Philippines

Job Description:

This role is part of a 12-month Graduate Development Program featuring rotational learning assignments within the assigned function. The program is designed to build a strong foundation in the graduate’s functional tracks through online courses, onsite training, and other learning opportunities, preparing them for future business-critical roles.

Actively participate in the GBS Manila Graduate Program with a commitment to self-development and continuous learning.

Assist with the day-to-day operations within assigned function; learn tasks from experienced members of the team

Perform assigned tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.

Participate in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities as assigned by the function lead.

Fulfill any requirements and learning goals set out at the start of the traineeship.

Communicate clarifications and questions about issues and concerns received to the Team Lead for timely resolution.

Complete all fundamental and functional training prerequisites and courses within the specified timeframes.

Perform ad hoc tasks as requested or assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must be open for NIGHT SHIFT schedule.

Candidates must be open to work onsite (BGC, Taguig City) twice a week.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field – Business, Accountancy, Psychology, Information Technology, etc.

Basic knowledge of MS Office tools.

Has good academic standing.

Graduate Technology Services Consultant – UK, Europe

Job Description:

As a Graduate Technology Services Consultant you will provide varied engineering and technical tasks and activities to national and international projects and be expected to have an ability to input into design solutions, and at times having the ability to communicate confidently and effectively to internal and external clients. Duties and responsibilities include:

Assisting in the development and production, of ITS project deliverables and advise in accordance with the relevant standards and Project Manager/Client needs. This will include but not limited to:

Project Bids;

Feasibility Studies;

Site Investigations;

Design specifications;

Design Calculations;

Technical Documentation;

Project management support duties;

Project Reports.

Identify how information can be utilised to achieve project aims and how it will be applied throughout the engineering process, seeking guidance where necessary from other members of the team and senior staff.

Participate in the resolution of technical issues and consideration of new/innovative ideas.

Gain proficiency in the use of specialist software packages such as AutoCAD, AmTech.

Comply with relevant Health & Safety regulations.

Attend meetings with the Project Manager/Client and other project related stakeholders.

Take ownership of personal development in order to maintain and build professional capabilities, including identifying suitable training and development opportunities and working with a mentor to establish a career development plan.

Qualifications:

BEng in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Telecommunications Engineering, or associated degree such as Mathematics or Physics, with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or above

A Masters degree in the above would be an advantage

An interest in Electrical Lighting preferable

Demonstrable interest in Technology Services and developing a career in this industry

Willing and able to work towards the relevant professional institute

Good Microsoft Office skills essential such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing with the confidence to engage with a variety of people (clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors alike) and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss technical issues and capture feedback

Enthusiastic, hard-working, with ambition and drive

Ability to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team as a whole

When a graduate starts with us we pair them with an experienced engineer who will guide and mentor them through their initial period working on live projects. Training is arranged on our software engineering tools such as wireless coverage modelling and Revit to ensure all our engineers have a full set of design skills.

Early work with us will typically involve:

Assisting in developing technical designs of systems including;

Structured Cabling Systems

Active LAN and Telephony

WiredScore compliance and scoring

Wireless Network Modelling

Audio Visual Designs

Attending meetings and workshops with other design professionals such as architects, mechanical and electrical engineers and other key stakeholders

Inspecting and monitoring installations, then formalising reports in written format

As you develop you will be expected to take on more responsibility in managing projects from inception through to completion.

Qualifications:

An accredited Bachelor degree (min 2:1 or equivalent) in Building / Architectural Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Computing and Information Technology with honours.

CompTia Network+, Cisco CCNA or Cisco CWNA would be advantageous

AutoCAD and/or Revit would be advantageous

Relevant Industry related work experience would be advantageous
