Software Engineer I A – GBS IND
Job Description:
Design & development / test strategy & automation for a front-office application portfolio, ensuring smooth, timely, bug-free releases.
Functional area – Risk & PL valuation and reporting.
1) Either of the following:
– Design, develop, test and deliver application functionality
– Design and develop automated testing suite
2) Work closely with the team to solve technology problems and deliver timely, robust and optimal solutions
3) Ensure sustained, smooth production operation
Requirements
Education: B.E. / B. Tech. / M.S. / M. Tech. with good academic scores from top-tier colleges/universities
Certifications If Any: NA
Experience Range: 2 to 4 years
Mandatory skills
Strong hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
Test automation and scripting
UI / Javascript programming
Python / Java programming
Strong engineering problem-solving skills – analytical ability, detail orientation, programming acumen (- optimal use of language constructs, extensible design, clean code)
Ability to analyze the domain quickly, and grasp and interpret data
Self-starter, with a sense of ownership
Ability to deliver to high standards without constant oversight
Strong drive to learn, and flexibility to work on multiple technologies
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Desired skills
Understanding of investment banking domain and equity / derivatives trading
