Risk & Controls Analyst
The Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting all audit, compliance and regulatory requirements for BFS Pillar Technology teams and colleagues.
They will support the operation for an effective framework for the management of Risk across the team, thereby protecting against regulatory sanction, reputational and financial loss, service failure and maintaining customer confidence.
· The ability to perform Pre-Audit/Risk assessments for a variety of functions and IT services and organisational entities.
· Implementing operational processes.
· Working knowledge of Service Management and delivery frameworks as well as IT Governance frameworks
· Broad understanding of Barclays’ strategy and business direction
· Experienced in an IT Security control environment and technologies, ideally within the Financial Services sector
· A familiarity with Infrastructure Technologies: Platforms, Networks or Desktop
o Provide supporting function to the CCO GTIS Pillar Controls Officer, to enable them to set the overall strategy, policy and targets of the team.
o Manage Risk assessments and logs including the TCSA’s and ORAC entries ensuring that they accurately reflect the risk status of the business area, are regularly refreshed and that action owners address their actions within specified due dates.
o Take personal responsibility for the delivery of timely and appropriate governance & risk decisions.
o Attend all appropriate governance meetings and providing regular performance reports to CCO GTIS Pillar Controls Officer.
o Provide timely, accurate and clear advice based on evidence and accurate data
o Understand the wider context in which we work, effectively supporting CCO GTIS Pillar Controls Officer in discharging their responsibilities to Barclays.
o Ensure that the CCO GTIS Pillar Controls Officer is kept informed about risks and operational issues which might affect the strategy or reputation of the Department
o Support the management of all Audit Observations owned by the business area, supporting completion of agreed actions within due dates to facilitate successful closure.
o Perform regular quality checks to confirm that key controls are operating effectively.
