Job Description:
Contribute to the monitoring of Capital Market Businesses controlling the reconciliation of the accounting and economical P&L followed by the Front and Middle Offices.
Main financial instruments in scope are Derivatives, Forex, Bonds, Issuer bonds, Equities, Commodities
Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of the breaks identified
Contribute to the BNP Paribas Group Financial statements and Regulatory Reporting
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes (controls, restitution and synthesis)

Qualification:
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

London – Long Term Internship 2024 – DM Rates Sales UK
Job Responsibilities:
• To be completed (key list of direct responsibilities for the role, noting expressly any element that requires an important contribution to the responsibility of others and any key stakeholder management responsibilities critical for the role)
• Accountable for providing advanced level support in relation to sales activities related to DM Rates sales carried, out by the team, and displaying excellence with and leading on tasks such as:
• Shadow pricing client requests in order to develop a sound understanding of the tools and products
• Identifying client and / or market opportunities and turning these into actionable trade ideas by liaising with sales, research, and trading to formulate.
• Assisting on operational tasks such as booking, unwinds, liaising with Middle Office and settlements teams, PVs, CSA impact/adjustments.
• Diligently performing any project-based tasks or otherwise, at the request of, and under the supervision of, more senior team colleagues
• Requires attention to detail and the ability to deliver information accurately and quickly to key stakeholders.
• Maintains open communications with their team and stakeholders to ensure work is completed to a sufficient level.
• Works under own initiative but with readily available supervision and guidance. At times works on other miscellaneous tasks, such as market commentary, client initiatives and presentations where more guidance may be required.

Qualification:
• Typically requires a university degree as an indicator of an ability to understand and apply complex issues within their role.
• A strong team player and displays cross cultural awareness to work effectively within a team.
• Pre-existing knowledge of markets/products, understanding that this could be in other markets products
• Prior experience in sales (rotations or other work experience).
• A strong personal focus on accuracy and attention to detail and able to prioritise workload based on shifting business needs.
• Good written and oral language skills.
• Role holder is required to have the following skills at intern/analyst level: Selling techniques, Data Mining and Processing, Descriptive Modelling and transaction processing.

Send on time accurate reporting to regulators
Showing proactivity on dataquality reviews and action plans
Being part of the team responsible of the local regulatory reporting of BNP Paribas SA and Financial markets
Ensuring the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the local regulators (ACPR and Banque de France)
Coordinating with all involved stakeholders
