Associate Business Analyst
Under close guidance and direction of more senior Business Analysts, and using established procedures, assists in analyzing business functions to define ‘specifications / requirements’ for automating and / or improving business processes and/or applications and breaks those processes down into functional components.
Collects data for and assists with writing & executing user acceptance test plans to validate all user functionality of applications.
Projects and processes are of limited scope and complexity and are generally routine in nature.
Assists more senior Business Systems Analysts in the smooth implementation of projects.
Competent to consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
May function as a secondary liaison between a business unit and the systems applications / development and programming areas.
Qualifications
Analysts typically possess a Bachelors Degree with analytic and systems skills, basic understanding & knowledge of finance, problem solving skills and have good communication skills. Up to 2 years experience within financial services operations with an acquired understanding of the process or processes in the business unit.
