ASSOCIATE SOFTWARE PROCESS ENGINEER
Job Description:
Tailor processes to meet customer and site regulations
Assist code developers with peer reviews
Create and collect metrics
Perform process audits with goals of ensuring compliance
Support official software releases, including documents, code, test results, data objects, and specifications
Verify software requirement traceability
Prepare materials for customer reviews
Provide training for tools and processes
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
1+ years of experience with configuration management tools
1+ years of experience with following established policies and processes
1+ years of experience with problem reporting tools
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with configuration management tools such as ClearCase, GIT, and SVN
Experience with problem reporting tools such as ClearQuest and JIRA
Experience with DOORS or other requirements database tools
Understanding of or experience with compliance standards for software engineering (aerospace, aeronautics, and government/DoD).
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.
