Operations Supervisor Trainee 2020
Job Description:
• Operational Efficiency: Manage plant operations efforts in alignment with all business functions to effectively and efficiently achieve business and profitability objectives. Manage personal and team accountability.
• Technical Operations Support: Understand and manage technical operation processes to provide guidance for critical decision-making challenges. Demonstrate agility and the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances
• Maintenance Reliability: Partner with maintenance experts to maintain plants to ensure they are at all times capable of serving and meeting customer requirements.
• Team Management: Lead diverse teams of operations employees to ensure goals and standards of the organization are being met. You will manage teams both large and small to drive best results for the facility and Cargill.
• Risk Management: Understand safety and regulatory compliance requirements consistent with Cargill’s Guiding Principles. Food and Feed Safety are of critical importance to Cargill’s businesses.
• Continuous Improvement: Learn and implement production process improvements through utilization of continuous improvement tools/activities.
Required Qualifications:
• Pursuing an Associate’s degree from an accredited program in any discipline
• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Willing and able to relocate
• Ability to contribute, both as part of a team and individually
• Strong communication skills – written and oral
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Pursuing an operations or supervision-related Associate’s degree (Operations Management, Business Management, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, Agriculture, and Agriculture Business).
