Sales Application Engineer

We are looking for a talented Sales Application Engineer to join our power generation team, specializing in Engineering for our Sales Application Engineering Team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Job Description:

Technical Liaison: Serve as the technical liaison between Distribution and customers during new product development, ensuring customer needs and feedback are effectively communicated and addressed.

Problem Investigation and Resolution: Investigate integration and installation problems, understand their causes, recommend actions, own problem resolution, and document results with guidance from experienced team members.

Customer Relationships: Develop strong working relationships with customer technical counterparts, act as their primary liaison to deliver product technical information, manage specifications, communicate changes, resolve installation issues, and facilitate requests.

Independent Execution: Execute established work processes and systems independently while developing technology or product knowledge. Engage in improving systems and processes.

Team Contribution: Contribute effectively toward team goals, influence your work group, and develop proficiency in critical competency areas.

New Product Development: Represent customers in new product development programs, apply Cummins’ products to customer vehicles by developing technical specifications, implementing new designs, and delivering high-performance, low-cost solutions.

High-Quality Solutions: Integrate high-quality and optimized customer solutions, interacting with sales and marketing teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs and expectations.

Qualification:

Preferably a recent university graduate or early career professional.
Relevant experience in temporary student employment (intern, co-op, extracurricular activities) or early career in a technical discipline is advantageous but not essential.

A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a college, university, or an equivalent institution is required.

Proficiency in software such as MS Office, MATLAB, and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo) is beneficial.

French language skills are desirable but not mandatory.

Customer Focus and problem solving: Protect customers by solving product issues, identifying root causes, and implementing data-based solutions to prevent recurrence.

Product support and Machine Integration: Optimize performance, reliability, cost, and quality by combining sub-systems and resolving technical issues quickly.

Financial Analyst

Responsible for the preparation of analyses and reports for department managers. Supports the annual budget process, expense and/or staffing forecasts or statistical reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepares analyses and reports for department managers. Works with assigned organizational unit(s) to develop annual budgets, expense and staffing forecasts, and statistical reporting. Supports month end close. Prepares and consolidates financial data. Prepares statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis. Executes special projects as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.

Minimal relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.

Prepare financial analysis and reports to support departmental decision making.

Record and review journal entries of cash transactions.

Provide forecasts and cash balances at monthly closing.

Upload manual payments to bank portals and manage check requests.

Control intercompany loan balances and calculate associated interest.

Follow up on bank reconciliations and outstanding items.

Support internal and external audits.

Support the management of programs such as Car Leasing and purchasing processes and accounting coding.

Develop annual budgets, forecasts and statistical reports.

Technical Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in accounting systems and financial tools.

Knowledge of banking portals and experience with local and international banks.

Basic knowledge of English for internal and external communication.

Skills in financial analysis, reporting and business partnerships.
